Small update. I've added 8 presets from Nexus mods.
Worth to check is:
"Better Far Cry Reshade and DOF by Hethos"

But it's very GPU demanding and may require lowering your resolution to keep your previous FPS.

I checked all available Reshade presets and here are mmy 2 favourites:

(I recommend to delete this ♥ in file name).

They even nicely enhances game looking on the lowest posible details with native resolution and resolution scale 1.0. So the game looks stunning even on low details.
They are not FPS consuming.

Excluded Ambience, so I choosed to leave it as two presets instead of just improvement of current one. Also it seems people likes the v1 alot from the amount of downloads so wont take it down then. :)

So is it only Ubi games that crash when loading when using SLi+Reshade. Seems like that for me.

Damn, sorry Elishia. Have you tried disabling the Steam and Uplay overlays already? How about all the following (sounds like you have, just double checking):

1. For me, the game crashes if I use any form of ReShade or SweetFx in fullscreen mode. So you must enable borderless window mode to use ReShade if yours also crashes when trying to load the game with Reshade enabled.

2. Recently I've needed to rename my reshade files, "dxgi.ini" and "dxgi.dll" to "d3d11.ini" and "d3d11.dll", respectively, to get the game to stop crashing on launch. Also, you may need to use an older version of the ReShade 3.0 framework if you get an error message saying it can't recognize the file or whatever. I don't have an SLI and it still doesn't work. Not even the dll and ini renaming trick works. Strange, it's the first game I can't get to run with Reshade.

PSA all, someone that was kept having reshade crash their game no matter what they tried figured out that SLI+ReShade+FarCry5=crash. Disabling SLI fixed the issue. for them. Hope it helps someone else out there.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing too(not the .ini thing, thanks for that). I just thought I was being dumb or something.

Naw, it seems to be a problem with the definitely the newer versions of 3.0 framework, I would try the 3.0.8 and before and it may not be there. But what i've been doing to get around this while I'm still working on the presets I just set all the effects I never want to use to a key I'll never press (like the minus sign on the numberpad or something) and then when I'm ready to release the preset, I just change all the toggle keys I don't want to 0,0,0,0 in the preset .ini file.

Not sure if i've explained this clearly, but 0,0,0,0 means there's no toggle key set.

So I'm working on a FC5 preset, but there's a problem that's annoying as hell. Maybe you guys can help me?

Ever since I moved to ReShade 3, I've been able to set toggle keys, but I can't disable them for some reason. The directions seem straightforward enough, but disabling old toggles eludes me. Is there something I'm missing? What is the secret??

Does anyone know how to "wait" or change the time of day in this game? The feature is was in every other far cry and would be a huge oversight if it weren't in this one. I've been stuck at nighttime for more than 6 real-life hours and it's driving me nuts, as I hate playing games in night-time settings. I go through all that work to make the days beautiful after all :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And yes, of course i googled for this answer already.

I had to use reshade 3.1.1 or 3.0.8. With the latest version, 3.1.2, i got the same error as you. Here's a repository of the older reshade files. Hope it helps. You may need to run your game in borderless window mode before installing reshade if you get CTD on launch. You may need to rename your resahde dxgi.ini and dxgi.dll files to d3d11.ini and d3d11.ini respectively if you get the CTD on launch, also. All issues I've encountered since the Windows 10 creators update, especially with ubisoft games for some reason.

How are you all getting ReShade to work? Any time I install it I get a error about untrusted System Files.
