WoW natively has a lot of contrast, and very bright blues, even for shadows, which makes it very very high fantasy. By toning down the blues, specifically, you can reach an interesting level of realism that is closer to the human eye. This shot of Suramar shows how the preset doesn't just dessaturates the entire screen, but keeps our blues a little more under control.
