so I have been playing the hardline beta and i my number 1 complaint about bf4 is gone, The game isnt completely over saturated like a 16 year old photographers myspace portfolio. So I was in the BF mood so i jumped into bf4 only to be reminded how awful it looks, unplayable to anyone who has ever had to do any design work. My question is, i see alot of these configs look more like filters in instagram than anything else, which is cool but i was wondering if anyone know of a preset or ANYTHING i can do go lessen the actual black level in all the shadows. Most of the screen shots i have saw sort of cast over the shadows like a filter maybe change the tint but the shadow is still left unnaturally dark. let me know if you have any tips.

It sounds like Tonemap's Bleach will do what you are asking for, it desaturates the colours and brightens shadows.
