I and others also have the same problem. Some people have it working, some do not. I hope we can find a solution soon--Far Cry 4 is yet another dull looking game that can breathe life with sweetfx.

It's a crappy game anyways, not much to lose really... Unless you like roaming around with no goal other than taking down outposts and climbing towers (essentially it's the same game as AC, with less story, in first person, and with guns...).

I don't think sweetfx developers care about whether a game is good or not. They care about whether their tool actually works how it's intended, for all games using DX renderer.

Well it does, really, the problem you are having seems to be specific to your PC or some configuration of it.

When several people post about the same problem of getting it to work, it starts to feel less isolated and more general issues. I have yet to see anyone else have help with their issues, either.

Like I said it worked fine for me, so I have no idea why it doesn't for you, sorry. Judging by the 7 preset and thousands of downloads it seems to be working for the majority.

Finally got SweetFX running with FarCry 4 on Win8.1 x64. Use this Tutorial: http://www.overclock.net/t/1485750/how-to-use-sweetfx-in-windows-8-1 , and make sure you have radeonpro and far cry 4 NOT run as administrator. Bind the toggle key to SCROLL_LOCK

Me too. Using Amd 8120 and r9 290x. SweetFX crashes game as soon as it is opened. I've use SFX with Skyrim, Tomb Raider, and Shadows Of Mordor no problem. No dice with FC4.

I just got it to work with this guide. http://www.overclock.net/t/1485750/how-to-use-sweetfx-in-windows-8-1 I followed it 100% and used Kputt's config. I have to go in and cycle between fullscreen and windowed a few times to get it to hook, but it works!! Try it! =D You cannot use MSI Afterburner with it though. I can't get it to work yet.

Lads to make it simple SweetFX works in FarCRY 4 only if you are lucky! Some days it works prefect for me and other days it won't work at all! It's all the luck of the dice :) This game and SweetFX has a Love/Hate relationship. SweetFX 2.0 should fix those problems when released!
