What it should have looked like

Preset for MAX PAYNE 3
Created by Markie
Added Dec. 24, 2019
Updated 9 Nov 20:24 CET
Shader used: ReShade
Preset description:
Game: Max Payne 3 Preset: What it should have looked like Author: Markie This preset greatly reduces the washed out, greyish look of the game and adjusts many aspects of the image. I tried my best to make this game look like what it "should". Kinda like showing some hidden visuals that were supposed to be the default already. ----------------------------------------------- Note: If this preset looks too dark for you, just reduce whatever contrast/gamma setting i've used on it, in case i did. Could be Curves (Contrast), HDR (HDRPower) or Levels (Levels_black_point). ----------------------------------------------- Effects added: ----------------------------------------------- *CURVES *CLARITY *HDR *LUMASHARPEN *VIBRANCE -----------------------------------------------

i said if you could add further more then why not
i think you can still do much more in this
however it depends on you its your choice
if you ever do add some more features and effects then do tell me about it i am always eager on hearing more from you about the enhanced additions to this preset

I don't know any other effects that could enhance it further, the game looks as good as it should already, in my opinion.

To edit the HDR shader just open the Reshade interface ("Home" key by default) and try changing some values.

but if you can add more effects then why not ? even with this mod on i get 70-80 fps
this game is really smooth and so much fun to play i would definitely like some more added effects
this thing just blew me apart while playing the game
i really loved this mod
if you add more effects then do tell me about it
i am looking forward to it
ok i am using dx11 with highest settings and i want to squeeze out as much as possible

very underrated

I said i think it can work on all DirectX levels, which means you just have to choose your desired DirectX option in the game menu first and then apply Reshade in the game and select the DirectX version that corresponds to the one you have set in-game.

This preset has enough effects already, too many effects would affect performance and i wouldn't add more just for the sake of it. If you want to reduce bloom try tweaking HDR.

which direct x ? 9,10 or 11 ?
i meant that can further additions and effects can be added into the game or not
i really liked your work this thing completely changes the game
also can the bloom be a little bit off
the faces of the characters just glow a bit too much
i think you should add further additions and release it again as an update what do you think ?

What do you mean with "to the best level"? And yes, i think it does, you just have to set the correct DirectX option when applying Reshade over the game executable.

man this looks so awesome the game completely looks new and refreshing
fabulous work
but can you add some effects and improve it to the best level ?
also does this work on all direct x levels ?
