Tuning Palatte LUT settings.
Posted 7 years, 7 months ago
Alright, so I have a somewhat different CLUT that gmic generated for me: http://i64.tinypic.com/2vdsb3b.jpg --Not to scale. Actual size would be a 4096*4096 png. And I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to work with the Ganossa Tuning Palette. Any help on what XYZ settings would be nice. I've already gotten a different LUT to work in the past that consisted of a line of 64 64*64 squares with the settings 4096 X, 64 Y. EDIT: It seems like the gmic effect I used works with hald CLUT's, where my previous was a 64^3 3d lut. Is there any way to load a hald clut in ReShade? EDIT2: I managed to cheese it by applying the hald CLUT to a neutral 3d lut, then loaded that in ReShade. Yay? 99% sure I lost a good chunk of detail, though. EDIT3: Yep, lost some stuff in the conversion. Still need a solution to use a hald clut in ReShade. Example- Compare the shadows hald: http://i66.tinypic.com/4sz3aw.jpg 3d in-game: http://i65.tinypic.com/jtx6ci.jpg The CLUT customizer in GMIC for GIMP lets me lock color sources and replace color sources. It's rather amazing and I'd prefer to not give that up.

Ideally I'd like to change this title to "Hald CLUT and ReShade", but nooooo the title has to be all permanent and whatnot.

Why do you want it 4096x4096? Can you not use the Tuning Palatte 4096x64 with color maps on and the separated 256x2 Lut shader also? http://filmicgames.com/archives/75 Under the 4th screen there is a 256x2 lut in Tga format to try it can be changed to png.

Check the 1st image. It's a completely different style of lut. I'd like to use the good ole' 4096*64 one, but when I try to apply the colors of the 4096^2 hald lut to the 64^3 3d lut, it gets rather distorted as demonstrated in the 2nd and 3rd pics. So I would prefer either a way *successfully* transfer the info from the 4096^2 lut to the 4096*64 one, or a way to just load the 4096^2 hald lut in ReShade. [s]Today I'm going to look around for a 3rd solution I have in mind. [/s] EDIT: Bust. No way the 256*2 lut would hold enough information. Even if it did, I'd still need a way to transfer the data from the 4096^2 one to it in the first place, which brings me back to square 1.

I managed to sort of re-create it with a normal 3d lut by using the Curves tool and a DPI of 250 in combination with various other color grading effects. I'll consider it a good enough solution. Free-styling color bezier curves kinda has it's own charm.
