SweetFX game notes:
Installation: Tested on ReShade 4.7 (AMD & Nvidia) ______________________________________ Directx9 Installation (Huge FPS gain, no on-car shadows) ______________________________________ (1-A) Place the d3d8.dll file from https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases into your NR2003 main directory Try the latest release first, move down the list if your game crashes immediately (1-B) Place the config from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1slF7eOomz2aKz4RNiNqGVHi_AvjsCJ74/view?usp=sharing into your NR2003 main directory (2) Run the ReShade installer & choose Direct3D 9 & NR2003.exe (3) Downloading Effects Check the boxes "SweetFx by CeeJay" & "qUINT by Marty McFly" & press OK Check these effects... "Standard Effects" Uncheck All Press OK "SweetFX" FXAA Levels SMAA Press OK "QUINT" qUINT Sharp qUINT MXAO qUINT Bloom qUINT DOF qUINT SSR Press OK (4) Run NR2003. Select the preset "NR2003 Reshade" in the Home tab. Navigate to the DX9 tab in Reshade. Check "Copy depth buffer before clear operations" (5) Adjust your Player.ini with Notepad. Under the heading [Graphic Options] change the lines... "enable_ShadowVolumes=" set to 1 first, then 0 if shadows from the car to the ground do not display correctly "envmap_method=" set to 0 first, then 1 if flickering occurs with certain mods (6) In your NR2003 settings, disable all [Shadows > On Cars] settings. ______________________________________ Directx11 Installation (Not Recommended) (FPS loss, can enable on-car shadows) ______________________________________ (1-A) Place all of the files from https://goo.gl/KsP2N8 into your NR2003 main directory (1-B) Place the config from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1slF7eOomz2aKz4RNiNqGVHi_AvjsCJ74/view?usp=sharing into your NR2003 main directory (2) Run the ReShade installer & choose Direct3D 10/11/12 & NR2003.exe (3) Downloading Effects Check the boxes "SweetFx by CeeJay" & "qUINT by Marty McFly" & press OK Check these effects... "Standard Effects" Uncheck All Press OK "SweetFX" FXAA Levels SMAA Press OK "QUINT" qUINT Sharp qUINT MXAO qUINT Bloom qUINT DOF qUINT SSR Press OK (4) Run NR2003. Select the preset "NR2003 Reshade" in the Home tab. Note - When setting TextureSetSize in your rend.dxg, use 1024mb instead of your actual card's dedicated memory _____________________________________ OpenGL Installation (Not recommended) _____________________________________ (1) Place the config from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1slF7eOomz2aKz4RNiNqGVHi_AvjsCJ74/view?usp=sharing into your NR2003 main directory (2) Install ReShade to the NR2003.exe and choose OpenGL (3) Downloading Effects Check the boxes "SweetFx by CeeJay" & "qUINT by Marty McFly" & press OK Check these effects... "Standard Effects" Uncheck All Press OK "SweetFX" FXAA Levels SMAA Press OK "QUINT" qUINT Sharp qUINT MXAO qUINT Bloom qUINT DOF qUINT SSR Press OK (4) Run NR2003. Select the preset "NR2003 Reshade" in the Home tab. (5) Adjust your Player.ini with Notepad. Under the heading [Graphic Options] change the line "enable_ShadowVolumes=" to a 0 *An error box from ReShade may appear on the screen. Click the [X] at the top-right to close the message. The game still seems to run fine in most cases* Notes: The Shift-F2 combination may not work on the main menu. Try doing so once you're on track. If you are still experiencing graphical issues try comparing your player.ini to mine and replicating it as closely as possible https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B2EiK40_govOd25CRko2eHVuWUk Directx9 Known Issues: -"Track Specular Highlights" needs to be disabled on certain tracks or else flicker can occur - Remove d3d8.dll & d3d9.dll files from directory when running the rendering config (config.exe) or the setup will crash - Toby Roberson (POADS04)
