Preset description:
▶ UPDATES v1.1 - Added MXAO for more precise shadowing across the whole screen. Performance does drop by a ~5 fps but is well worth it if you have the spare fps to use up. - Reduced the green tint desaturation slightly to avoid pink, opposing tint on pure whites - Optimized bloom for better performance on lower end hardware ▶ MY PC SPECS GPU - RTX 2060 CPU - 3600X RAM - 16GB ▶ MORTAL SHELL INSTALL GUIDE This game uses OPEN GL, not Direct X, so select OPEN GL when installing, using the Reshade install exe. ▶ AIM OF THIS RESHADE Vanilla Mortar Shell is an impressive graphical game but I was immediately put off by the overall lack of lighting clarity (darkness) and the green tint. To combat this, I heavily desaturated the image, focusing on the green, and then reapplied the colour. I also raised the shadow and midtone values so as to have less of the image drained in shadow. I then slightly boosted the exposure for a brighter image. Sharpening was applied around the center of the screen. As you can see from the image comparisons, the image is now much more clear, bright, sharp and still keeps the gritty, grey tone that the developers were clearly aiming to achieve as the main game vibe. With this reshade, I have kept it as performance friendly as possible only using 3 main settings: - sharpening - color correction - bloom (which you can disable and probably wont even notice the difference) This reshade should not affect your performance at all, especially if you disable the bloom. With the bloom enabled, I couldn't record an FPS decrease, so it was less than 1fps on my RTX 2060 @1440p. ▶ REQUIREMENTS This download includes the additional necessary settings for my mod. Quint settings are very user friendly and intuitive. Installation is straight forward. Just drop the files into your shader folder, ReShade will find them. You don't need to use all of the shaders, and you can freely combine them with other shaders as you see fit.
