For anyone having issues this is what i did.Put your D3D9.dll, dxgi.dll and injector.ini in your Bin32 directory(C:\\program files\steam\steamapps\common\residentevil4\bin32). Everything else goes in the Resident Evil 4 folder (C:\\program files\steam\steamapps\common\residentevil4)

Get into the game and change ANTIALIASING game <of> download Boulotaur2024.Injector_CeeJay.dk's.1.5.1.Shader+ChromaticAberrationShader and extract game download and SweetFX_Settings_Resident Evil 4 - HD_K-putt'e Config and rename SweetFX_settings,copy game.Change SweetFX_settings with the following http://s25.postimg.org/qdiu7b433/image.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/4sdrjp7cf/image.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/dd73avhin/image.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/4xhitdenj/image.jpg it should always be run for each. Doesn't work wtf man. What version of the game do you have, old pirated version? I am sure most of us here have a legit Steam copy that is updated.

I have steam version, not working. I followed instructions, it was crashing until I copied the x64 dlls, now it runs but with no difference to the game. :(

Not Working Too, i have Steam Version.

pentagralml
4 Mar 20:39 CET

@squarealex
ok, I've solved
Move all files bin32 to path C:\Program Files (x86)\Resident Evil 4
installed at that location sweetfx and already.

pentagralml
4 Mar 20:01 CET

the problem is the plugin d3d9.dll, this file causes crashes on startup
Without this file does not work sweetfx
So what is the solution?

squarealex

Not work for me.
Same problem like FRiNGE07.
@pilone71, not work for me too with this.

And with Omni preset config, same problem...

I did that, but not work
this is the message log.log

I disabled PostFX because all of them looked terrible.

Preset works fine, tried using older SweetFX bindings which didn't work as expected (SCROLL LOCK) but with the original bindings in the Preset it was okay, just be sure: enable SweetFX is INSERT, not SCROLL LOCK or whatever you used previously. I tried using the Preset with the Postprocessing effect (you could name them "Monotone", "Classic Horror" and "High Contrast" instead of 1-3) but it looked pretty abnormal, Postprocessing 2 was relatively okay but 1 and 3 were ugly (and they are by default).

@pentagralml

1 Disable AA in game options.
2 Open preset with notepad and save it with ANSI econding instead of UTF-8.

Otherwise Game crash at startup.

problem, d3d9.dll makes a crash at startup, without this file sweetfx not work, how to solve this problem?

Im having Error Steam Must be running message. is there a fix to this?

pilone71
1 Mar 13:54 CET

I made it work, follow these steps:
Use the provided .dll's (64bit work but have no effect).
To make the game boot first disable AA in game options menu.
Then download and open K-putt preset with notepad, choose "save as" from File menu and change UTF-8 to ANSI in encoding box (left box from Save button).
Save the file over itself.
Finally i renamed K-putt preset to "SweetFX_settings.txt" substituting the original file as i don't like working with multiple presets.
This worked flawlessly for me.

Using the 32dlls causes the game to crash upon start up. While 64dlls don't but the sweetfx does not work.

Strange.

Nope, it's the steam version.

I believe K-putt doesn't have the game on Steam(he pirated it) that's why the game runs fine with SweetFX for him, but the people that has the game on Steam are having problems to run it with SweetFX.

I uploadeded all my sweetfx files already. Check the description. - And i really don't know why it doesn't work.

I have exactly the same problem like FRiNGE07, could you upload all sweetfx files from your game folder K-putt?

K-putt
28 Feb 22:06 CET

That's weird. The log file says that everything is fine. Are you using some overlays? Fraps etc.? Though, that would show up as an error in the .log file.
