Shader used: SweetFX 1.5
Preset description:
v1.2 Small tweaks in technicolor and lumasharpen, add chromatic aberration and border. v1.1 More natural colors. DOWNLOAD LINK: (SweetFX files by Omnipotus) With letterbox http://www27.zippyshare.com/v/13284374/file.html Without letterbox http://www8.zippyshare.com/v/75976122/file.html In game brightness - 100. TURN OFF DPX IF THE GAME ITS TO DARK ON YOUR SCREEN! Without DPX game have less contrast. You can add more curves (#define Curves_contrast) or turn on DPX again, but with less blend (#define Blend). With this preset the game is a little darker, but on a properly calibrated screen, everything is visible. DONT FORGET TO CLOSE FRAPS ETC BEFORE START THE GAME! Enjoy :) Check out my artworks: www.facebook.com/PiterqDesign

/*-----------------------------------------------------------. / Choose effects / '-----------------------------------------------------------*/ // Set to 1 for ON or 0 for OFF #define USE_SMAA_ANTIALIASING 0 //[0 or 1] SMAA Anti-aliasing : Smoothens jagged lines using the SMAA technique. #define USE_FXAA_ANTIALIASING 0 //[0 or 1] FXAA Anti-aliasing : Smoothens jagged lines using the FXAA technique #define USE_CA 1 //[0 or 1] Chromatic aberration. You can only use Chromatic Aberration OR the Explosion Shader. Not both at the same time. #define USE_EXPLOSION 0 //[0 or 1] Explosion : Scatters the pixels, making the image look fuzzy. #define USE_CARTOON 0 //[0 or 1] Cartoon : "Toon"s the image.(Interferes with SMAA, CRT, Bloom, HDR and Lumasharpen) #define USE_LEVELS 0 //[0 or 1] Levels : Sets a new black and white point. This increases contrast but causes clipping. Use Curves instead if you want to avoid that. #define USE_ADVANCED_CRT 0 //[0 or 1] Advanced CRT : Simulates an old CRT TV display. Set gaussian blur along with it to get a halation effect #define USE_BLOOM 1 //[0 or 1] Bloom : Makes bright lights bleed their light into their surroundings (relatively high performance cost) #define USE_HDR 0 //[0 or 1] HDR : Not actual HDR - It just tries to mimic an HDR look (relatively high performance cost) #define USE_LUMASHARPEN 1 //[0 or 1] LumaSharpen : Also sharpens the antialiased edges which makes them less smooth - I'm working on fixing that. #define USE_GAUSSIAN 1 //[0 or 1] Gaussian Blur : can be used to... blur, but also bloom/hazy/glowy look, also unsharp masking #define USE_FILMGRAIN 0 //[0 or 1] Filmgrain effect #define USE_TECHNICOLOR 1 //[0 or 1] TECHNICOLOR : Attempts to mimic the look of an old movie using the Technicolor three-strip color process (Techicolor Process 4) #define USE_DPX 1 //[0 or 1] Cineon DPX : Should make the image look like it's been converted to DXP Cineon - basically it's another movie-like look similar to technicolor. #define USE_MONOCHROME 0 //[0 or 1] Monochrome : Monochrome makes the colors disappear. #define USE_LIFTGAMMAGAIN 0 //[0 or 1] Lift Gamma Gain : Adjust brightness and color of shadows, midtones and highlights (avoids clipping) #define USE_TONEMAP 1 //[0 or 1] Tonemap : Adjust gamma, exposure, saturation, bleach and defog. (may cause clipping) #define USE_VIBRANCE 1 //[0 or 1] Vibrance : Intelligently saturates (or desaturates if you use negative values) the pixels depending on their original saturation. #define USE_CURVES 1 //[0 or 1] Curves : Contrast adjustments using S-curves. #define USE_SEPIA 0 //[0 or 1] Sepia : Sepia tones the image. #define USE_VIGNETTE 1 //[0 or 1] Vignette : Darkens the edges of the image to make it look more like it was shot with a camera lens. May cause banding artifacts. #define USE_DITHER 0 //[0 or 1] Dither : Applies dithering to simulate more colors than your monitor can display. This lessens banding artifacts (mostly caused by Vignette) #define USE_BORDER 1 //[0 or 1] Border : Makes the screenedge black as a workaround for the bright edge that forcing some AA modes sometimes causes. #define USE_SPLITSCREEN 0 //[0 or 1] Splitscreen : Enables the before-and-after splitscreen comparison mode. #define USE_CUSTOM 0 //[0 or 1] Custom : Write your own shader by editing custom.h, and then enable it here. /*-----------------------------------------------------------. / SMAA Anti-aliasing settings / '-----------------------------------------------------------*/ #define SMAA_THRESHOLD 0.04 //[0.05 to 0.20] Edge detection threshold. (software version doesn't matter) if so this needs to be 1 - If not, leave it at 0. //Enable this only if you use a Geforce 7xxx series or older card, or a Radeon X1xxx series or older card. /*-----------------------------------------------------------. / FXAA Anti-aliasing settings / '-----------------------------------------------------------*/ #define FXAA_QUALITY__PRESET 39 //[1 to 39] Choose the quality preset. 39 is the highest quality. #define fxaa_Subpix 0.1 //[0.000 to 1.000] Choose the amount of sub-pixel aliasing removal. #define fxaa_EdgeThreshold 0.01 //[0.000 to 1.000] Edge detection threshold. @devil1243 I realize this is an old thread but do you recall how you got it to work with RadeonPro? I applied the settings to the exe but nothing happens in game.

31 Oct 18:42 CET

Guys! Please help me!

I can't launch the game because it errors : The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll

What am I to do?

22 Aug 19:51 CEST

@amine4ver Reshade framework with these presets doesn't work.
I have Windows 10 Pro and i'm using radeonpro to inject preset.
It works! ;)

15 Aug 01:15 CEST

can someone tell me how i can use this sweetfx effects with the lates reshade framework 1.0.0?

3 May 03:15 CEST

Can you please make this preset for Reshade 0.18 with Framework i tried it myself but it didn't looked good. ^_^

26 Oct 02:47 CET

Salut sebel119 !
Ah oui effectivement le lien est mort essaye celui-ci : http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/67736824/file.html
Et n'oublie pas de décocher border si tu as les bandes noires...

24 Oct 19:43 CEST

salut RiiNeYScOo, justement moi il me fait rien le sweet fx mais ton lien a l air mort t en as un autre ?
merci d avance

21 Oct 17:08 CEST

20 Oct 00:45 CEST

@Vrass done

19 Oct 17:36 CEST

Hi, both version of the preset with and without letterbox are down, can you reupload them please?

8 Sep 20:31 CEST

Do i must select "Download Preset" or download following the links in "Preset description"? If i choose Download Preset in this page, the preset do not work. Help me and sorry for my english. Chibbastramuerti!

29 Aug 00:38 CEST

Hey I have exactly the same problem than Devil1243, please help ! Sorry for bad English^^'

19 Aug 00:09 CEST

Why this preset do not work for me? Nothing change if i press "SweetFX On" or "SweetFX Off". What must i have to do? I have radeonpro. I have try the others preset for this game and they works. Help me please.

31 Jul 17:41 CEST

Can somebody please explain how to get this working, have tried JeZ_tK 's video but still crashes at launch, thanks

29 Jun 23:35 CEST

@saske just download version without letterbox.

29 Jun 16:57 CEST

how can i play with this mod in FULLSCREEN? the top and bot of the screen are black and the game is in the middle

27 Jun 10:20 CEST

The bloom around lights are a little to bright at night. Also some of the sun reflections are also to bright. Anyway to turn these down?

25 Jun 00:28 CEST

i have to use radeonpro and it wont work unles i uncheck, CA and Gaussain and then after that even with brightness at 0 it looks way to bright

17 Jun 09:57 CEST

Thasnks, please add support for 1.51 k'putt has done it with his.

14 Jun 09:20 CEST

@Milamber http://youtu.be/ZHGd1wwyILI

14 Jun 06:47 CEST

Please can you update preset to work with Sweetfx 1.5.1

* LumaSharpen in 1.5 still had some experimental code activated when it should not have. Fixed that
* Changed some code and settings to workaround a bug in SweetFX Configurator. The configurator should now work fine with SweetFX 1.5.1
* The Custom shader now have some more interesting example code that inverts the luma of the image, and it now has an example setting

13 Jun 21:49 CEST

thank you

13 Jun 16:48 CEST

@kinpachi FXAA o SMAA.

12 Jun 22:08 CEST

which antialiasing is better to use with this preset?

11 Jun 22:11 CEST

Over 11k downloads and 1st place on site haha :D

10 Jun 11:45 CEST

Sorry dude but mine was customised to suit my LG 22MP65HQ which I've recalibrated manually. What is working for my monitor might not working for your monitor. Try the author's (piterrrxd) suggestions.

Congrats on 10k downloads! You really deserve it!

9 Jun 10:18 CEST

1. Do I need to copy SweetFX files into game folder or can I store them in separate folder ?
2. Can I use clean SFX 1.5.1 or dedicated one ?
3. Can I use this preset wit SFX 1.4 ?

9 Jun 09:25 CEST

@mitch 'cause without DPX game have less contrast. You can add more curves (#define Curves_contrast) or turn on DPX again, but with less blend (#define Blend). With this preset the game is a little darker, but on a properly
calibrated screen, everything is visible.

9 Jun 09:16 CEST

i have to delete DPX it makes everything light and whiteish, any idea why?

8 Jun 23:47 CEST

Wow dude, 10k downloads, this is officially one of the best presets ever to be on this site, congrats my man.

8 Jun 21:41 CEST

@EroticSushi you can also turn off DPX, this option darken the image.

BTW - over 10k downloads :D

8 Jun 18:33 CEST

@xplode123 yes.
@EroticSushi you can edit line "#define Curves_contrast" to less value if game is to dark on your screen.

8 Jun 10:58 CEST

can i use this sweetFX on 1920 x 1080p?

8 Jun 02:47 CEST

@JT83 Mind sharing what you tweaked to get the correct brightness? The preset is a bit too dark for me as well.

7 Jun 18:21 CEST

why is the preset not working when CA is turned on?

6 Jun 14:27 CEST

@JT83 That's great to hear! Have fun playing the game! :D

6 Jun 04:33 CEST

guys ,, i am using this preset with radeon pro , win 8.1 64 bits ,, it works perfectly ,, any one have problem with radeon pro just tell me to upload my sweetfx file and use this preset with it , otherwise try "Verrenus" realistic updated preset

6 Jun 04:25 CEST

jt83 ,, i am using brightness 90 and this preset is perfect

5 Jun 22:05 CEST

Thanks, but I've managed to tweak piterrrxd's preset and got the brightness level I needed without sacrificing the preset quality. I stick with piterrrxd's.

5 Jun 21:07 CEST

@JT83 It's a little bit more complicated than that, since there are multiple settings affecting brightness. I think it correct this in my version of piterrrxd's preset. Why not give it a shot and see if doesn't fix the problem?

5 Jun 13:41 CEST

The game looks darker than the screenies in my monitor despite the brightness was set to 100. What part of vignette or other part of SweetFX I should change to increase brightness without sacrificing the quality of the preset? I just need brightness boost, not anything else.

4 Jun 11:06 CEST

@PomPom I did an update of this preset, if you're interested. Try it out, you might like it! :)

@wael I agree, this preset brought the game as close to the E3 2012 trailer graphics as possible. Congrats once again to piterrrxd for a damn fine piece of work! :D

4 Jun 04:39 CEST

thank u so much , that's the e3 graphics and even better than e3, any one notice that ?
thanks again for this preset , I like it an very happy to get this graphic , works perectly

4 Jun 04:29 CEST

are you gonna to do some other update soon? i love this preset

2 Jun 01:08 CEST

1 Jun 21:33 CEST

@lastbreathe Check out my updated version of piterrrxd's preset! It's really easy to install with my detailed instructions! :D

1 Jun 13:45 CEST

never worked for me. im getting really annoyed after.

pls upload your folder's. i can launch the game with radeonpro.

but NO INJECT! also visuals like screen tearing.

1 Jun 10:32 CEST

@lansing disable chromatic aberration - open preset file and edit value in line "#define USE_CA" from "1" to "0".

1 Jun 06:42 CEST

When I use this preset I get blue glowing thingy in my bottom and right screen. Any way to fix it?

1 Jun 06:13 CEST

@ Bradley Hey hey!! I knew that was you mate :)

Thanks Verrenus! Good job :)

1 Jun 04:43 CEST

Love this so much!
I made a guide on installing SweetFX for Watch_Dogs for those who had trouble with the standard method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHGd1wwyILI
I used your preset in the tutorial <3

1 Jun 01:33 CEST

@Milamber and BradleyW

Done guys! Enjoy!(http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1723/)

By the way, I have made some subtle changes to piterrrxd's preset to make it less oversaturated. Chromatic aberration is also disabled because I found it to turn white text green in some places!

31 May 18:20 CEST

Yes please upload the exact text file. Maybe I can get chromatic aberration to work. :)

31 May 16:59 CEST

@Verrenus Thanks buddy! I have downlaoded the Notepad+ program and I wasn't sure which parts of piterrrxd SweetFX_settings I'm meant to copy into k'putt's! Would you mind uploading the text file? Then i think i'm all sorted - the rest I have been able to do! :)

31 May 16:32 CEST

Its chromatic aberration defect. You can disable it - just open preset file and edit value in line "#define USE_CA" from "1" to "0".

31 May 16:04 CEST

fabulous job! But there is one problem. When I look ahead, at the bottom left of the screen and a thin blue line. What could be the problem and how to fix it? sorry for my language.

31 May 15:46 CEST

@Milamber you copy K-putt's SweetFX folder, 64-bit dxgi.dll, SweetFX_preset and SweetFX_settings and then you MANUALLY copy each individual setting from piterrrxd's settings into K-putt's settings! Make sure to use Notepad++ for editing K-putt's setting files, because regular Notepad is known to make them not work upon editing! :P

Same here. Using Windows 8.1 and RadeonPro, with K-Putts SweetFX Files and piterrrxd's preset. I too have to disable Chromatic Abberation to get the profile working. I also noticed something. It would seem GUASSIAN and Split Screen also don't function under RadeonPro.

If we run without GUASSIAN and Chromatic Abberation, will we notice a loss in graphics fidelity? Do you have any idea how we could fix the issue?

Thank you very much.

31 May 13:08 CEST

I had no errors while launching game.
I have SweetFX in my custom folder on D: drive. I think d3d11.dll is an system component, try updating DirectX, vcredist (just google: vcredist) and graphic drivers. I'm running on latest beta driver form AMD 14.6 and there are NV's Watch_Dogs drivers too.

31 May 12:03 CEST

@HentaiKamen could u launch the game without any error? also sweetfx files in "bin" folder?

31 May 10:21 CEST

This setting didn't work for me. I had SweetFX ON but it didn't change a think. After many different combination i found the cause of my problem. It was Chromatic Abberation . Turning off this option solved my problem.

SweetFX downloaded for here "whitout letterbox" version.
I have win 8.1 so im using RadeonPro which make SweetFX work on this OS.

31 May 09:38 CEST

never worked for me win 8.1. tried the guide that link given including radeonpro.

im getting d3_d11.dll (or sth like that)error when launcking watchdogs.exe.

31 May 03:57 CEST

Oops typo... i meant overwrite K-putt's settings file with piterrrxd's SweetFX_Settings.txt preset file? :)

31 May 03:56 CEST

@ Thanks Verrenus

So to make it clear to me, I do the following:

1. copy K-putt's files
2. overwrite the settings file from piterrrxd by overwriting K-putts?

30 May 22:46 CEST

Or just change value in "#define USE_BORDER" to 0.

30 May 22:32 CEST

@valerio or you can simply change #define border_width float2(1,50) to #define border_width float2(1,1) :P

30 May 15:53 CEST

@valerio i add optional version without letterbox.

30 May 15:33 CEST

hi piterrrxd, fantastic work!
I tried the last version you posted, is it normal that i can't remove the letterbox effect?, it works fine with 1.1

30 May 13:53 CEST

I'm glad you like it m8.

30 May 13:09 CEST

Congrats on your work with the preset by the way, piterrrxd! It's my absolute favourite for Watch_Dogs so far! \m/

30 May 13:05 CEST

Here's the kicker: you don't need all of K-putt's files to run his version of SweetFX for any one game! Rather, the archive that you download from the link I provided in my previous link contains all possible combinations of the files needed to apply K-putt's version of SweetFX to any DirectX game. For using it with Watch_Dogs, for example, you only need the SweetFX folder, the 64-bit dxgi.dll file and the SweetFX_preset and the SweetFX_settings text files. Then you simply input piterrrxd's preset values into K-putt's SweetFX_setting text file and you're done! After that, you can use the "Insert" or "Ins" key on your keyboard to switch K-putt's SweetFX on and off, so you know you got it working right! :P

30 May 09:34 CEST

@Milamber yes, the same SweetFX files you can find in Omnipotus preset.
@Sekta i just add small chromatic aberration, it's realistic camera lens effect.

30 May 08:29 CEST

@Verrenus thanks!

Quick question, is that link you provided all the files you use with this preset? If not, any chance you can upload what you use please?

30 May 03:56 CEST

Guys, just get K-putt's version of SweetFX (which has x64 support and all of the shaders released so far) and just tweak the settings to match piterrrxd's preset. I've been personally running his preset on K-putt's SweetFX without any crashes for hours and the game looks absolutely stellar! Just get this version of SweetFX: Ge.tt - http://ge.tt/4CpDyZt/v/0 and then if you're having trouble running the new preset just leave a comment here and I will help you guys out! :D

30 May 03:00 CEST

Since when is more cinematic realistic? lol.

30 May 02:08 CEST

Does anyone get crashes with this preset on windows 7 x64? I can only play for around 1 min and the game crashes to desktop.

29 May 22:12 CEST

Hey, I've been using your preset since you released it and today I decided to update to the new version. At first I could not get it to work and then I found the problem. Disabling Chromatic Aberration allowed it to start up. Just so you know im using the workaround for Windows 8.1 from here http://www.overclock.net/t/1485750/how-to-use-sweetfx-in-windows-8-1
I downloaded the custom files on that site but it says that it has the Chromatic Aberration shaders so I don't know what went wrong. I would also like to say that the new black border you added is not all that good and I personally removed it. Amazing preset nonetheless, thanks.

29 May 10:28 CEST

I found the fix for the crashes which someone stated earlier. It's the DLL's that have been used in this preset. The game uses a X64 exe and the DLL's for this preset are not compatible, the fix was to use DLL's from here: http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1675/ and then use piterrrxd's settings file. The only problem is, the game now looks different. Piterrrxd, please can you use the dll files from the URL I mentioned above and then work your magic to make the game look like the screenshots?

29 May 09:25 CEST

I am getting frequent crashes though, not sure if its the preset, the location of the sweetfx install that I've used is:

The watch_dogs.exe is located here, would this definitely be the right spot for the sweetfx to be?

29 May 09:09 CEST

This is by far the best preset from all those listed to date. This is what the game should have looked like!

29 May 09:01 CEST

thanks guys,i will check this out

How To: Use SweetFX In Windows 8.1 http://www.overclock.net/t/1485750/how-to-use-sweetfx-in-windows-8-1

28 May 22:32 CEST

@Omnipotus Boulotaurs's sweetfx works in RadeonPro. You just have to do extra steps to make it work.

@Cyber Follow the instructions found here http://bit.ly/1lLAyWN
That's how I made mine work for DX11 games. I'm also using this realistic preset in watch dogs.

28 May 15:36 CEST

Game dont start for me with this.
please help WIn 8.1

28 May 12:00 CEST

Repacked with WinRar 5 x64 and reuploaded to different hoster http://ul.to/qhp5dh8k
Hope it works now, i had no troubles downloading and unpacking

28 May 11:13 CEST

Same problem as @Razed. No idea why, but game crashes on startup with dxgi.dll fault. @XLNT 's archive doesnt work, btw

28 May 10:26 CEST

Thank you for the fix. I really love this awesome Preset. Watch Dogs looks amazing now. :))

28 May 10:04 CEST

@syloops try tune ingame Brightness (Options=>Calibration) to 75-100.

28 May 09:50 CEST

Allright, just made an account for this. I got this preset working without the game crashing or showing black screen. I took .dll files from MaxFX preset and added the settings.txt of this preset.
All working now. You can download the wokring Preset from here: http://bit.ly/Ser7Yn

28 May 04:27 CEST

nice work but i think it s a bit the shadow are a bit too dark and the contrast to high. maybe try to find a better balance. imo

28 May 02:29 CEST

I Like this one a lot dude, nice work!

28 May 00:32 CEST

Hi, I'm getting a crash upon launch and it says the fault module is dxgi.dll - Any idea what I can do to fix this?

27 May 21:51 CEST

Working now, thanks !

27 May 21:44 CEST

@Omnipotus - sorry, i dont know that sweetfx version its your personal work. My mistake.

I think i miss some line, now it must work.

27 May 21:43 CEST

yeah same here. need to try it i love this preset

27 May 21:34 CEST

Nobody has a fix for this? I really want to try it :)

27 May 21:16 CEST

But why is it working on his comp and not on ours ?

27 May 21:13 CEST

Thank you for your realistic preset.

But it crashed on the loading up.

I have no problem with other presets though. :)

27 May 21:04 CEST

I dunno... Works fine for me, only when Fraps is running game crash at start.

27 May 21:01 CEST

I did :) But it's not working.

27 May 20:56 CEST

You need to download sweetfx version from link in description.

27 May 20:53 CEST

It says in the log :
Unable to load 'FXAA_DX11.fx': ..\..\SweetFX_settings.txt(1,1): error

27 May 20:49 CEST

Just tested your new version, same results, game won't launch :/

Best of luck to fix it ;)

27 May 20:40 CEST

I add link to dwonload SweetFX with this preset.

27 May 20:28 CEST

Tried with both 1.5.1 and Boulotaur version, game won't even launch.

Any solution ? Thank you.

27 May 20:26 CEST
