Abuse Colors and the GPU is the motto!

Here's the preset in action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_9mbulSCxA I know that what's on everybody's mind when looking to mod-up their game is "REALISM ZOMG" but I for one would like to think that a game is supposed to look like a game for the most part. That mean's lot's of perty effects even if it makes the game more difficult to play. Also what's with this abuse of the color palette - try using one color decently before starting your own carrier as Jackson Pollock. In that respect I bring you my Reshade Mod which I'm kind of pround of. Tweaking took ages. Used half of the available filters almost - which I admit makes it a little heavy for the gpu. -Don't call it blurry till you take a close look and see that's a Near and Far Depth of Field effect - which I personally moded to make it adjust focus in an animation rather then in an instant ruining the immersion. -Don't call it monochromatic till you know how much i love green, blue and cyan. -Don't mock the detail before (as humanly as possible in this fast paced recording) you see it has a heavy addition of AO (like HBAO) that has a very detailed scale to put shading even on the characters clothes. Well I don't have any more arguments for my defense - If you don't like it don't like it or download. Now If you DO like it - here's whatcha gotta do to get it (also it would most likely work for any other game with minor tweaking so feel free to use it for that aswell) Now as far as Far Cry goes: - Firstly since Far Cry 5 is an online game - it has some softcore security measores to prevent loading cheating injectors. So the most recent version of Reshade will be flagged as an "untrusted file" and throw an error, but the almost fresh version 1.1 has been whitelisted and is available for use - You can get it here https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository#bow1ko4203njp - Install in the bin directory and run through the simple tutorial to get adjusted - Now to get my settings preset just "Download Preset" and put under any name and put in the bin directory aswell - in Reshade load it up and you're half way there - Now in order for the preset to work at it's full glory the game must support retrieval of the "depth buffor" (that's just an internal texture that tells the system or any party interested what pixel how deep is in the scene) - Unfortunately the version of Far Cry that i tested my gizmo on doesn't support the depth buffor at default, but you can force it out of it in this simple step: Goto OPTIONS--VIDEO--ADVANCED SETTINGS--RESOLUTION SCALE -- change the default 1.0 to any other value - higher if you want to sacrafice some fps's for better quality and antyalias, or lower to aid performance - aside that function this will also free up the depth buffor for usage in reshade making it possible to view the ambient occulsion and depth to field filters. -Now the last step involves a minor tweak in Reshade - open up the UI (default shift+f2) goto settings and in the Preprocesor Definitions set as fallows: RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=500.0 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=1 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0 There - you're all set and I wish lots of fun and luls when u can't see a darn thing through the cyan and for that you'll be thanking my basterdation of any chance for this to be a game simulating reality. Of course if you don't like my abuse of colors, feel free to disable any strictly color saturating filter.
