Preset description:
Enhancing effects for The Division including sharpening to bring out more HD looking textures by removing the slight screen blur in the vanilla game, more contrast, bloom and lens effects for more flare, and others. *If anyone knows how to get the ReShade depth of field working in this particular game, let me know please. INSTALLATION: 1) Download ReShade: https://reshade.me/ 2) Run the ReShade installer 3) Press "Select game" 4) Navigate to <YOUR DRIVE>:\Ubisoft\UPlay Game Installs\Tom Clancy's The Division *[NOTE: your folder structure may be named differently]* then select "TheDivision.exe" 5) Select "Direct3D 10+" 6) Select "Yes" 7) Select "Uncheck All" and only select: - AdaptiveSharpen - AmbientLight - Bloom - Clarity - FilmGrain - FilmicPass - Levels - SMAA - TiltShift then select "OK" - if succeeded, exit the window 8) On this Urban Enhancement webpage, select "Download preset" to download the settings 9) If desired, change the downloaded preset extension to ".ini" if it is a ".txt" file then move it to <YOUR DRIVE>:\Ubisoft\UPlay Game Installs\Tom Clancy's The Division *[NOTE: your folder structure may be named differently]* 10) Launch The Division 11) When the ReShade loads, press "SHIFT F2" to open ReShade menu 12) Select "Continue" 13) From the drop down navigation bar under "Home" select this downloaded preset "SweetFX_Settings_Tom Clancy's The Division_Urban Enhancement" 14) Select "Continue", then select "Continue", and lastly select "Finish" 15) Look through the ReShade tabs if desired or close the menu ("SHIFT F2" can close it) *16) It is recommended to set "Configuration Mode" to "Performance Mode" for "Usage Mode" under the "Settings" tab to render the ReShade variables to a static state when you are ready to play the game
NOTES: *In the ReShade menu in the "Home" tab make sure only these effects are checked if you want the proper, intended overall effect: - AdaptiveSharpen - AmbientLight - BloomAndLensFlares - Clarity - Levels - SMAA The other effects are extra options that you may use if you choose to. "FilmicPass" will enable a darker, much less colorful, and gritter effect. "TiltShift" will enable a blur on the top and bottom of the screen which adds a bit of a focused view type effect *see the 4th to the last uploaded screenshot* (I would have added the depth of field effect but I could not figure out how to get it to work in this particular game. DOF would be a nicer effect instead of the included "TiltShift" effect). "FilmGrain" will enable some more grit to the game. *Note that some effects are keymapped, so look at the keybindings for each effect. If you wish to unbind any of them, click the respective field and press "Backspace". *Check out the "Settings" tab in the ReShade menu to examine or set keybindings and settings such as the "Overlay Key", "Effects Toggle Key", "Screenshot Key", and "Screenshot Format". The "Scroll Lock" key is a common keybinding for the ReShade toggle. *"SHIFT F2" is the default keybind to open and close the ReShade menu (the "Overlay Key" mentioned above) but that key combo is what UPlay uses for its overlay menu, therefore I personally use the "Delete" key for this particular game.
