Planetside 2 is 64bit...so u need to use Boulotaur2024(http://sfx.thelazy.net/downloads/) or just use my download files and copy all to ur exe. (http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/2209/)

But be aware, SOE will ban you for using Sweet FX in Planetside 2. Up to you if its worth that.

hm quite implausible... never heard that someone got a ban cause using sweetfx... i use sweetfx since 1 year for my self and never got any problem...well the danger is omnipresent :O

You have to use boulotaurs 64bit injector. Back in yee old day when ps2's anti cheat was garbage they accidently banned people for sweetfx. And ever since then the uninformed spread rumours that they actively ban for sweetfx usage.

uninformed? Oh well let me quote one of the developers: " We are aware of SweetFX, the proper way to fix this issue is to improve our own shaders where possible. There are some circumstances in which a modified version of SweetFX could result in an advantage for some players. This would put us in the difficult position of having to try to test an external third party program. We are looking into how to address this long term." or "It is vital that you not run software which modifies the Planetside 2 client in any way. If you do this, you are indistinguishable from various hacks that work in the same manner. The result of this is that you will be banned from gameplay and lose your characters/items. We cannot make exceptions to this. We do understand there are relatively harmless apps that fall in this category, but if we allowed those they would simply be used as a shield excuse by players trying to cheat. This same rule applies to data that Planetside 2 uses for gameplay. Do not modify any of these files or attempt to modify them in memory. There are some applications that modify the windows or directx environment without changing the client. These may also result in suspensions unless we specifically exempt them and declare them ok to use. The most simple guidance here is do not use third party programs which change the Planetside 2 gameplay in any way unless it has been specifically cleared by SOE." It is pretty clear that SOE doesent like anything that modifies anything on their client. And sweetfx does that, well sort of. That you havent been banned for a year, doesent mean they wont do it, just means they are lazy. I personaly love sweetfx but i put so much money and time in my ps2 chars that i dont risk it. Rumour or not.

I wonder how it would equal a visual advantage, maybe people are brightening the nights or something in the game and they are calling that an advantage. But like you could just do that with other non injection methods anyways. (like for instance my monitor has a game mode that does just that) probably just comes down to the anti-cheat not being able to distinguish sweetfx from injectable cheats. Personally i've always used sweetfx just to inject more AA or improve the visuals of a game, i've never used it in a cheating kind of manner but I guess people do. I am personally still going to use sweetfx in ps2, but that is only because like the other guy that said he hasn't been banned in a year; I haven't either (I think i've used sweetfx for longer than a year too) This really confuses me too. https://twitter.com/planetside2/status/272534243689758720 (Planetside 2 twitter)

That Link is confusing, yes. What they mean i guess is that you can basicly turn the game into some sort of Wallhack with sweet fx. Since the factions have designated colours you can turn down all colours in sweet fx but the one from the enemy faction your playing. So your screen is just black & white but for the blue / red / purple walking enemies so that you can spot them without any problems whenever they are in visual range.

I feel like I should post that, even though I feel like sweetfx isn't really a big deal. Don't risk it if you like this game/or are sinking money into it.(or time). It's really just not worth it since there is no official statement from developers saying yes/no to sweetfx. And even though it is absolutely great in this game it's just simply not worth the risk. Just like to say that I was misinformed as well on the matter of it being allowed or not so sorry if I mislead anyone.

Since the last "patch" the game crash every 10mins when using sweetfx ... so they have changed something :)

I was still interested on this matter so I contacted a SOE GM today. This is what the response was. GM Endina here to assist you today. I understand that you have some concerns about using a third party program while playing Planetside 2. In general, we don't recommend that players use any sort of third party program while playing Planetside 2. As long as the program does not give players an unfair advantage, however, they are generally okay to use at the discretion of the user. Please be aware that if it is detected by our system or if it is determined that it gives an advantage, action could be taken on your account. If you have any other questions about it, you can always check out our official forums (https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php), as there is usually information from our development team regarding this type of situation. I hope this helps, and have a great rest of your day. Basically if it gives an unfair advantage it shouldn't be used. Up to you to decide if that's the case or not.
