Preset description:

This is a simple preset for the Forest that re-balances the game's color, exposure, midtones, highlights and shadows, to make the environment more natural, without destroying the game's original look. This preset does the following: -Removes green cast/haze -Rebalances color and saturation -Reduces blown-out highlights/ rebalances exposure -Adds contrast without making darker areas too dark Recommended Monitor Settings: Set display gamma set to: 2.4 ICC Profile: Rec 709 Recommended In-game Settings: Anti-aliasing = TAA, volumetric clouds = off, motion blur = off. Everything else set to high. Installation 1) Download https://reshade.me/ - Run installer, select: The Forest. During install choose DirectX 11, and also add shaders when prompted. (Insane-Shaders and PD80 Shaders are essential) 2) Next download the Natural Color 2023 preset and add it to the Forest root folder: "/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/TheForest/" 3) Start the game, press "Home" to enable ReShade UI. Under the Home tab, use the arrows at the top left corner of the UI to switch between presets stored in your Forest root folder. Select the Natural Color 2023 preset. Enjoy
