NOTE: Currently, ReShade does not support DirectX versions prior to 8. You can use ReShade by installing a so-called "wrapper", dgVoodoo2: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2.html
It "translates" older APIs such as DirectX 6 or 7 in this case to DirectX 11, which ReShade can handle. You can also force things such as 8x MSAA and Anisotropic Filtering through dgVoodoo2 (even though the latter affects the crispness of the HUD).
