Hi! Does this work with Reshade 3.0 or do I need 1.9? I can't seem to find 1.9 anywhere.

I am currently using my own SweetFX profile (Lumasharpen + SMAA) with 1.5 and have tried inputting your settings into my config file but some of the SMAA settings are absent and in the end I'm not sure that it's working correctly.

Thanks for your help with this.

There is indeed a filmgrain option. Update your game and you'll have it.

You can just turn of the grain in the settings of the game. And yes it'll work even without the grain.

Ok well, I got it to load INTO the game and it force closes...I didn't make any changes

I'm running windows10x64.

Renamed reshade64.dll to dxgi.dll and it loads to the main screen then gives critical error and shuts down.

I see the messages when I launch the game though, it's only when I click and get to the main menu that the game force closes

Works with 8.1

Remove all files including log files.
Run game then close game.
Add ReShade with sweetfx 2.0.
Rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll.

Hello there K-putt, I just want to report that when the batmobile first appear game crashed with blackscreen and with a huge warning tht dx3d11 was being use or something like that. Disabling sweetfx fixed and then I re-enabled it back after batman batmobile cutscene. weird, I just thought to report this just in case. I hope it doesn't happen again in the game. so far its working fine for now after that.

Yeah, you gotta replace the file. The injector only searches for the SweetFX_settings.txt as its preset file. It wouldn't find K-putt_settings.txt for instance. And yes, put that preset into the SweetFX folder.

And i just install it in the sweetfx folder and replace the original one in there anyways? Not just outside of the folder? I am sure i did everything perfect. Tips appreciated just to be sure.

Since you can see the ReShade info in the game, that means it injected perfectly into the game.
It really must be a error with the preset. Make sure the SweetFX_settings.txt content is the one you got from my preset here.
Also make sure to save it in ansi format or else it throws errors at you.

Are you sure renaming rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll is a good idea? Maybe that was why? Unless i am wrong. I bet it's gotta do something with the preset? Where does the preset go? Something isn't working right. I can tell the sweetfx is enabled and disabled by pressing Insert but what i can't tell is the game changes. I don't see graphic changes or color changes. Something isn't making it work. I must be not seeing it or something isn't installed right. I followed everything. Would be easier if you had a video installation tutorial. Let me know if you do. Thanks for your patience and time and help!

Perhaps you didn't copy the preset correctly.

I did everything you instructed and i can enable and disable it via insert button but the only thing is i don't see anything in effect. It could be just me or i did something wrong. I press insert the sweetfx was disabled but i don't see anything being changed in the game, i just see the sweetfx saying it's disabled. It's like it's not working or something. Tips?

Exactly. SweetFX is just one of many shader libraries.

@Primey well if you would actually read those presets, they are using a different shader, MasterEffect and not SweetFX.

"SweetFX doesn't have AO yet"

How did DatVeganGamer and silverf0ld get AO via sweetfx then?

K-putt
24 Jun 18:26 CEST

It might help, yeah. But FXAA does a better job at hiding those bright aliased pixels.

Will using this preset with SMAA on enhance the crappy antialiasing the game is using? I'm playing at 4K and I'm still getting slight bits of aliasing on stairs, railings, and on Batman's armor.

K-putt

SweetFX doesn't have AO yet. And i don't think i wanna use the other shader libraries just yet. I'm sure they'll fix it very soon.

First of all great job there. I have one question? Could you add Ambient Occlusion to it? That would be nice

Probably not. Not my type of game really. Sorry!

The effects toggle key is "scroll" on your keyboard. However, that's also the key for fullscreen/windowed.
To change this, go into the SweetFX folder, open up the global_settings and set #define ReShade_ToggleKey to 45.
Now you can toggle the game with the "Insert" button.

There are thousands if not millions of "how to install ReShade" on the interwebs.
But, because i'm in a fairly good mood..

Put the ReShade64,Sweet.fx,ReShade.FX and the entire SweetFX folder into the Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64 folder.
After that, rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll.. and you're done.

To use a custom preset, just download the preset from here, put it into the SweetFX folder, and rename it to SweetFX_settings.txt.
Of course you gotta delete the old one. Or rename it to something else.

How do you install this? I know it goes in Binaries and 64 folder but what do i do with the preset? Do i just slap it in there or do i have to rename it and replace something 2.0 has? I need instructions. I wish you had a key to bind this to to disable and enable so i know it's working. It's hard to tell if it's on because the game looks the same. Would be easier if you updated with a disable and enable key. Let me know. Thanks!
