Division preset for 4K [E3 2013]

Created by soetdjur
Added Feb. 7, 2016
Updated 22 Mar 03:02 CET
Shader used: SweetFX 2.0
Preset description:
My personal The Division preset V 1.1 I tried to mimic the looks of the E3 2013 reveal trailer. Feel free to do anything you want with it :) I ran this preset on my 4K monitor, So I wanted a pretty high sharpening amount, you can tone it down if you want to. Features: Adjusted Lift Gamma Gain, Tonemap and Vibrance to get rid of the pinkish color filter and to get a colder, less saturated look. Adjusted sharpening to use in conjunction with 100% sharpening on the ingame menu slider and also with -0.5 negative LOD bias via Inspector. This is suitable for 4K monitors, not sure if suited for 1080p or 1440p. Adjusted HDR, Levels, Tonemap and Curves to reach higher lighting output and increased highlights exposure while also darkening the shadows and making the nights slightly darker. //////////////////// - COMPARISON SCREENSHOTS - //////////////////////// http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/166149 http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/166150 http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/166151 ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Enjoy! @Vanagand

Common man, you've got to download the sweetfx core files and install them first before anything else.

Hello! I'm a little confused/new to this entire graphical enhancement thing - when I "download" the preset, I'm only given a text file with what appears to be instructions to values. Is this the file I require? Is there anything else?

@LT_ADI, sorry for late reply. Windows 10 has problems with Reshade, I don't think you would have had this problems with Windows 8.1. If you google on "IDXGISwapChain crash" you find quite alot on it. Just google it and look around, there are solutions out there. One seemed to be to rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll, another seemed to be to swap to borderless instead of fullscreen. In 9 out of 10 cases I would strongly suggest not to run Win10 at the moment and to wait until it has matured more. 8.1 is still the most reliable platform to date.

EDIT: Check this link: http://reshade.me/forum/shader-troubleshooting/207-solved-reshade-sweetfx-2-0-shaders-not-applying-etc

@RexTan - Sorry my friend, I didn't save the values for each set of screenshot session. Just tweak Lift Gamma Gain and Tonemap and you should be able to get something like my screens, those were the values I tweaked mostly. Bare in mind that I also used maxed out settings along with negative LOD bias via inspector for extra detailed textures.

@LT_ADI - Sorry to hear about the crashes... I've never experienced such problems in my testing. Perhaps you should try different drivers, and make sure to use Display Driver Uninstaller to get a clean set of drivers. Just installing new drivers as they come is a big source for crashes and problems. But if you could give me detailed information of your crashes maybe I could help more, Is it simply "Division.exe stopped working" Then I have no clue, if it's "dxgi error" or "Display driver stopped working" Maybe I can work something out. Also make sure to check the dxgi.log to check for details on the moment of the crash, maybe it'll provide something.

Have a wonderful day guys! And sorry I couldn't be of more help! Feel free to tweak my preset after your own liking.

Hi soetdjur, great job there! The present is good, however I couldn't get the same effect as your album in flickr. Can I get the same version of your present that show in flickr album?
Thanks in advance!

Allright, Version 1.1 is up boys, with slightly lowered sharpening, removed DPX and tweaked darkening and blacks, dark parts shouldn't be as crushed anymore. Still room for improvement though.

In the mean time, check out my attempt at recreating that famous first scene from the E3_2013 reveal: http://abload.de/img/untitled-1k7rw5.jpg

Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I'll try to polish it further for an eventual update. I will also try to recreate the famous first scene from the E3 2013 reveal trailer. When I'm done I'll post a comparison screenshot :)
