Designed for screen archery ReShade 3.1.1 + natural light + darkened colors + natural skin tones + deeper hard/soft shading + minimizes vanilla yellowish-green cast + no border effects (for stitching panoramas) + HD texture definition (with light, not fake HDR) toggle effects: DELETE toggle menu: END toggle DOF: Numpad* Custom tonemap Color grading Curves Lumasharpen Ambient Lighting Postpass shading Marty McFly DoF (mainly for screenshots, can toggle off) >Non UHD/FHD screens may want to reduce in game Gamma to 35-45, or turn off DPX to reduce glare. >Personally, I always change preset DoF sliders, so this has been left at default values. Hi SurfNSlide, thanks! Glad you like it.

First, make sure you are using v. 3.1.1 for this preset, not the newest version.

If so, have you tried going into the ReShade config (Shift + F2 when in game) and making sure those elements are on? From there you can also bind the effect to a new hotkey if your keypad hotkey is not working to toggle the effect.

As far as order of effect application, that is determined by the framework and can't be changed as far as I know. The order you see is just the effects list, loosely ordered in groups, and not the order of application.

First of all, beautiful preset overall. :) bit to much sharpening for my taste, but i just reduced the FInesharp amount a bit for that ;)

MXAO and DOF dont seem to work at all for me, except DOF works when opening the world map and zooming in (looking "over the landscape"), then it does blurr the controls at top and border of the screen massively.

What I also noticed:
MXAO should be applied as early as possible says Marty McFlys documentation, maybe behind ambient light, since that does affect it in a way we want I guess. Any reasons, why u have it further down the list?

P.S.: Im pretty new at this, so it may be that my assumptions are wrong ;)

No, I'm using an Asus ROG PG34 ultrawide. My monitor is top shelf. I mean, just going by the screenshots, the white values look blown out, and there's a loss of detail. Maybe it just comes down to preference? Otherwise, I think it looks great.

I use a UHD (4K) screen and can confirm that the lighting and color toning are beautifully ideal. This is one of the best realistic/naturalistic presets available.

You might be referring to the Lumasharpen, you can turn that off if you don't like it.
If you mean the bloom is too bright, you might have a low to mid range monitor, try turning your in game gamma down, as I mentioned in the description: "Non UHD/FHD screens may want to reduce in game Gamma."

Yes the same hotkeys i always use for all my presets, on the numberpad. But it's nothing simple like that unfortunately. I play with gamepad anyway, so I'm sure there's no accidental presses. Many others have reported DoF problems to me with this game too now. But some seem unaffected, like you and another preset author. I'm still troubleshooting everything under the sun, will update if i find anything conclusive.

Hey Sabina, so I've gotten DoF to work, Matso and McFly's, but only upon initial loads from the main menu and then it gets completely disabled from pausing the game or going to inventory or map screen.

Have you found a way to make it stay on consistently?

Yeah, 20FPS drop for me. No problem if you have a high end card like a 1070. I'm on a 980. (i7-6700k, 16GB.)

On Ultra but I'd need to switch to high to compensate. I had to turn off DoF, MXAO, Curves and DPX.

And the rest is just using the ReShade in game interface properly. Open it with Shift F2 by default, then you can remap it to whatever you want. On the first screen of the UI is a pull-down list. This is where you select your installed preset. It will load that preset, from where you can configure it to your liking, or not at all. When you are all done making changes, hit "reload", then you should set the mode from "config" to "Performance" to make sure that it will only run those shaders selected.

On Win 10 I have always had to do the following in order not to crash either at game load or settings load:

Always run ReShade Installer As Admin

Always launch in Borderless Window mode. This means you need to have the game already in BW before installing ReShade. Or crash at settings load in game.

Rename "dxgi.ini" and "dxgi.dll" to "d3d11.ini" and "d3d11.dll". I don't always need to do this, but if it crashes at game launch, this has fixed it for me.

Sabina: I'm doing all the steps in the video already and it just crashes to desktop. I run the Reshade 3.1.1 installer , I click "select game" I select the application launcher: "FarCry5" that is found in: Program Files (x86) / Ubisoft / Ubisoft Game launcher / Games / Far Cry 5 / bin , then I click on "Direct 3D10+" Am I missing anything? ...Are there any files to rename like changing dxgi.dll to dxgi.fx ? Also , did you buy your game on steam or directly through Uplay? (Mine is Uplay) Lastly, it crashes even if all i do is run the Reshade 3.1.1 and only install "lumasharpen"

This preset does not seem to work, I tried various ways of loading the preset but it does not take. Looking at the file contents they look very different from what a reshade preset normally looks like.

Are there additional instructions, or files to download?

Yea, tried a different version of the framework even, no luck yet. I know in AC Origins, certain UI elelments interefed with DoF, so I was hoping it was the case this time, but doesn't seem like it yet. There was a point, during the tutorial island and the very beginning scene where you go into the church that DoF would randomly come on and work correctly, but not since, and never consistently. So strange. I'll update if can nail down a solution/cause. Cheers on your preset, looks great!

Thanks, yea i've released many presets, and configure the DOF all time, there's just something very weird happening here. Can't get anything but DoF starting at the camera, no matter what preproccessor definitions I change. I can't get any DoF to trigger at all unless I turn off the auto-focus settings, including with LightDoF. Never seen an issue like this before. Thanks so much for trying to help me, really appreciate it!

And remember that the DoF sliders are Hi-Low (lower input = stronger dof)

If it's still reversed, just tick the reversed ON (1) and turn off logarithmic input. The default is different between DoFs.

Color grades from custom tonemap and technicolr1. Using Marty McFly DoF at default values and settings. Sounds like your dof is upside down or reversed.
Should look like this:

Man, how did you get DoF to work properly? I've been trying since last night, I make presets all the, tried everything I could think of, reversed depth buffer, linearization on and off, upside down, changed the far plane to unholy values. No matter what I do, the DoF will only start behind the camera and blur literally everything on screen, even the gun. Like applying the guassian blur effect.

Which version of reshade are you using? If you could help, it'd be extremely appreciated.
